Some Comments from our students:
A fun class. Jennifer was very good with the new technology. She was able to make us all feel included. Well done.
******
Excellent. As Alice is funny and engaging.
******
Harvey is an excellent teacher who tries hard to make the classes engaging and fun. He is doing a good job. He would be supported by further learning activities (not just games) that students could do at home to revise and consolidate their learning.
******
Very helpful, punctual and informative
******
Katrine is very patient and takes her time explaining every word and its application. She is very easy to understand and is very passionate when she teaches.
******
Very interactive and fun, good structure
******
Very good pace, I just need to practice at home more myself
******
At first I thought learning Chinese will be very difficult but Katrine has made the learning process more easy and enjoyable.
******
While my decision to join was based on pragmatic considerations, I am now attracted to continuing by the style of the classes and how much I enjoy them.
******
Elaine is very professional and is an outstanding teacher. She is good at explaining difficult concepts and gives really good examples.
******
Classes have been really good - enjoy the use of conversations and writing answers in Pinyin.

Both Jesse and Kathy are excellent teachers, each with their own effective way of delivering the lesson. I think Kathy pronounces the tones better and perhaps provides clear explanation of words. Jesse also provides games and exercises which helps us connect different lessons together. Its good being exposed to two different teaching methods.
******
Jesse is so lovely and I feel that she genuinely wants us to learn and she is doing her best to try and help us understand the content without over-complicating things. The games that Jesse give us are fun and help me, personally, to solidify the information we have learnt in not only the current lesson but previous lessons also.
******
Tanya is a very good teacher who is able to explain concepts and is easy to follow and understand. The small class makes a difference as it is easy to learn and follow and you have the individual one-on-one attention.
******
Joanne is a very good teacher who prides herself on her professionalism and performance. Easy to follow and understand. Classes are very good as there is good interaction between students and the teacher. Workbooks are very good and easy to follow making it simple; easy to understand; follow and learn.
******
Jenny is very friendly and very knowledgeable and always answers questions and explains things well. The teaching methods used were excellent and the format used in each lesson was perfect. The stories and illustrations used consolidated our understanding of the Chinese characters.
******
Robert is by far the best teacher I've had and I have now had 3. Very professional, always punctual and teaches outside the syllabus. He always ensures that the students understand before he moves on.
******
Rachael is a very active teacher, and supervision is provided for every student. A few of the students attend both classes, and so the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. This is a smaller class and is after work or some other activities, so they are not as chirpy!
******
Xinyi conducts the class in a relax and fun way, and the students are encouraged to be involved in discussions, and to be adventurous in their expression of their ideas. Some of the students are highly motivated to learn Mandarin. They learn quickly. I have a Chinese background and some knowledge of the culture and customs of my home area, Zhongshan. My Mandarin is not so good, nor my knowledge of the simplified form of the Chinese Characters. This teacher tries hard to give as much exposure to new words as possible. The students are so willing to participate in activities and are adventurous in their vocabulary. The various different backgrounds of the students add variety and spontaneity to our discussions. They are an very open minded group!

I am very happy with Dong and also with Robert when I attend their classes I feel able to ask each iof them to repeat or explain something not quite understood. They both manage the time well and always complete each lesson even allowing for group discussion. Yes, I love the classes, I do find them a lot of fun. I don't feel under any sort of pressure except from myself when I don't think I am learning fast enough. I am not sure whether I am where I should be in terms of progress but I am happy with what I know. I am pleased to hear that the emphasis for level 3 is on conversation and can't wait to get there.

Yuki is great. She is always on time and keeps to schedule during the class. Her presentation of the stories is interesting and enjoyable. She injects humor and ensures we all have a good time. All classmates participate well and everyone looks forward to our time in class together.
******
Fan Fan is very well spoken, accommodating and always willing to help. Class encouraged learning and was very beneficial. The students were studious and always willing to help. Surpassed expectations. Teaching method was brilliant, again it would be much more convenient if more class time options were available as it not only supplements learning but encourages students to continue up levels and ensures retention of students.

Jiani's friendly personality put everyone at ease within a few minutes ~ and we were ready to learn. Casual atmosphere, but structured lessons : great for learning. Lots of interaction between students, and between students and teacher. I couldn't believe i would be able to write (and understand) so many Chinese Characters in such a short time.

Yuki is very nice and easy to approach if I have a question, and she gives great feedback on my written characters from the previous week :) The classes are very fun, the stories help me remember characters! I also liked the classical Chinese music playing in the background of our lessons, very relaxing and helps me get into the mood! I liked the relatively small class sizes and Yuki is such a fun teacher, I enjoy coming to the weekly classes.
